Stuff I spend way too much time thinking about….


So, the word ‘fire’.  One syllable or two?  The dictionary says one.  I say two.  “fy-er” Go ahead, try saying ‘fire’ with only one syllable.  Sounds pretty funny, doesn’t it?  So, I’m sticking my original ‘two syllables” answer, although I suspect that the REAL question here is “what exactly is a syllable?”

Great.  Something else for me to obsess on.
