Freaky-Deaky Dutch

Whenever I hear someone speaking in any language foreign to me (which, embarrassingly enough, is every single language on Earth except English), it always sounds like they are talking at a rate of about one thousand miles a minute.  Maybe two.  I mean, SuperFast.  Evelyn Wood Speed Talkers.

Is it just me or does it seem that way to everyone?  And do I sound that way to non-English speaking peeps?  And will I never learn to stop starting sentences with the word ‘And’?

Newscasters on Univision are the best.

Oh, and that last sentence rules.  You began and ended it with and.

A guy from south of the Mason-Dixon Line visited over the weekend, and he was speaking a foreign language at a thousand miles a minute.

They sound super fast to me.  Maybe it’s inherited.

I think it depends. I know my cousins and family in India look at me strangely when they hear me speaking English to my dad. They say you speak too fast. *shrug* smile
I know if its a language I don’t understand some of them do sound faster.

Hey Buzz! Yes, I think it sounds like they are speaking many miles per minute. And, I’ll bet we sound the same to them as well.
