I guess you could call me a purist. Well, a purist when it comes to the important things in life. Oreo cookies for example. I would like to step up and take a stand here and tell you all that Nabisco has just gone too far. There is only one Oreo cookie type needed in this world and that is, as if you didn't know already, the Double Stuf. (Although I would certainly listen to all parties regarding a Quadruple Stuf. Just sayin'.)
Nowadays I look at the cookie counter and I see Chocolate Creme Oreos and Mocha 'n' Chocolate Creme Oreos and Golden Oreos and (sorry KathyHowe) Mint 'n' Creme Oreos and, I can barely even say the words, the dreaded Reduced Fat Oreo.
*THUD*
No, people. Just no. Double Stuf. That's all you need to know.
Well, that and the proper twist and eat technique. But who doesn't already know that??
Hey, how about some Oreo trivia?
Did you know that Oreo is actually the knockoff cookie? Yep, they started in 1912 to compete with Hydrox which started in 1908. Hydrox cookies are no longer made.
The recipe just changed recently. As of January 2006, Nabisco is no longer using hydrogenated oils. They now use "alternative oils". That's sorta scary, isn't it?
In the Friends episode "The One with the Girl from Poughkeepsie," Joey breaks his personal best by stuffing 15 Oreos in his mouth.
Oh, and they're great for stacking contests, too!
He should get extra points for stacking with the gloves. That's gotta be tough.
Oh! And thanks for making me so hungry. You can't say "alternative oils" without my stomach growling.

It's like combining my two favourite junk foods -- chocolate bars and Oreos -- into one easy-to-inhale treat. What's not to love?

They were okay, but I'd rather have regular ole' oreos any day--with an ice cold glass of milk. Now Buzz, here I am at almost midnight, in my pjs, feeling the need to get dressed and run out to the store for a fresh pack of oreo cookies. My stomach thanks you!

(do they make those?? LOL) but for dunkin I think I prefer the original plain ol' single stuff.. 'scuse me.. I hear cookies callin' me from the kitchen.. hehehe
