How about some Pop Goth?

My friend Cindy has gotten me to (against ALL odds) start listening to a lot of goth rock music lately. Stop by my desk during the day and you may catch me listening to the likes of Type O Negative, Season of Mourning, Carfax Abbey, Scorched Earth or any number of other bands that I swore that I would never EVER listen to.

The surprising thing is, I like it. Not all of it, of course, but enough to keep me listening. A lot of it is really good and some of it is actually what I would call great!

The only drawback to this type of music is that after a while I get a little tired of being SCREAMED at and I need to shift gears. Today's earlier post regarding Bobby Sherman (I can't believe how many of you don't know who he is!) made me realize that I had hit that point. I decided to go to the absolute opposite of goth and started listening to Pop. But not just pop, no. More of a bubblegum pop! Haha! Great fun! In fact, here. Listen to these and tell me that they're not fun.

Bobby Vee - Come Back When You Grow Up

Bobby Vinton - Tell Me Why

The Association - Windy

BJ Thomas - Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head

Great songs for our listening pleasure, Buzz....but you forgot Yummy, Yummy, Yummy (I Got Love in My Tummy) by the Arhies....or Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes by Edison Lighthouse. Fun songs from a more innocent time, comparitively speaking.
