Ho Ho NO!!

I've kind of been away from the news lately and figured that if I'm going to get back into this blogging thing, I better get myself up to date on the latest goings on (going ons?).

Imagine then my shock when I looked up at the TV and saw that just a few days ago Santa Claus died! Oh my god! Not Santa!! Not jolly old St. Nick!! Children (and face it, adults too) everywhere must be completely heartbroken. I mean, no more ribbons! No more tags! No more packages, boxes or bags! I just don't know what to ......

huh??? I'm sorry, whassat you say? The pope? THE POPE??

Oh, ummm...well, that's pretty bad, too. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Way to make a comeback...piss everyone off! (Just kidding)
I actually watched the pope being moved from the Vatican to St. Peter's Cathedral yesterday. (That's how I knew he wasn't Santa Claus...there were no elves to be seen.) Anyway, I have no idea why I watched it and found myself wondering most of the time, "What if his body rolled off that platform? Is it tied down?!" Anyway, I liked the uniforms of the Swiss Guard. Different. I wonder what their camoflage uniforms look like?

Ok I was thinking something totally different. I kept thinking (and this is horrible) that it would be kind of gross but in a snicker kind of way if one of the carriers in the front stepped in a pot hole and his body came flying off the slab. OMG did I just say that?

You know what? It wasn't this photo, but another one on the front of my news feed on the internet when I walked into the office the other morning that I swore, seriously SWORE they had Santa Clause on display in Rome.

So this post really made me laugh out loud because I certainly wasn't the only one thinking it. I looked and looked at that photo trying to figure out where the heck the Pope was... where is his face in proportion to the rest of him, etc. Because it was Santa all morning on that damn photo. *sorry* But it WAS!
