Did you ever stop for a moment and think about how strange your friends are? Seriously, they are some weird people, aren't they? With their little quirks and secret evil ways that only you know about? They pretend to be normal, but you know differently, don't you?
I look around at my immediate circle of friends (which I can literally do as most of them sit within 20 feet of me at work) and I think "Man! Check out these freaks of nature! What a strange, silly, wonderful group of oddities!" HooBoy! The stories I could tell!
Well, the thing is, all of your friends think that all of their friends are strange and exciting and odd, too. That means you, pardner. Yep, it's time to admit it. Time to own up to the fact. You are just a bit left of center. That's right. You're weird and complex. You are unique. And it's great! We wouldn't want you any other way, truth be known. It's what makes you so damn lovable.
So tonight, I will lift a glass and toast you all. I will toast to your individuality. Your goofiness. Your sullen nature. Your fancy tastes. Your weird habits. Your twitches, wiggles and squirms. Your abrasive laughs and tittering giggles. Your opinions (even the ones I know are wrong. Heh. Just kidding) and your beliefs. Your bad jokes and your questionable fashion sense.
I will, in short, toast to you and all your weird, wacky and truly wonderful oddness. And I will wish you all a very happy new year!
