Ok, just a quick post between picture requests here. Mostly aimed at you women out there. That's right. You!

What the heck is up with all of the damn shawls??

Everywhere I look I see women wearing shawls. It's like there was a huge freakin' sale at Shawl Town or Shawls-R-Us or Shawl Shawl Shawl or We-B-Shawls or Shawl City or...well, you get the idea.

Didn't we already do the whole shawl thing? Didn't we already decide that shawls were a failed experiment? Let it go, people. Just let it go.

Oh, and before you get too mad at me, I meant to say that the shawl actually looks very nice on you. Sexy even. It's all those other women that I'm talking about.

Shawls are good for hiding how A) you didn't wear a bra with that tank and 2) just how cold you are in your braless tank.

Oh, I know you weren't just talking to me! And it's called a "poncho" - shawls wrap - ponchos are pulled over the head. That's my contribution to today's full frontal fashion.

I don't like ponchos, either. I had one way back in 2nd or 3rd grade when they were "in". Who ARE these people that keep bringing horrible fashion faux pas back? I suppose that pretty soon my husband will have to buy a leisure suit, wide white belt and white shoes, because they're sure to come back in fashion. Kill me now!

Mine is really just a cashmere wrap with a little seam. That's what I tell myself anyway. And it IS sexy, as cashmere can be.

hola, i got here via espresso sarcasm's blog. i boycotted the entire shawl epidemic. just went for a knitted scarf found in a 'tibetan' shop in berkeley last fall.

Hold on a second!!! What's with all the poncho hating?!!! I have one on right now, and it is quite cute, and it's off the shoulder. It's downright sexy. AND I've gotten MANY compliments on my outfit today, and it wasn't by the 80 year old posse! *hee*

First of all, I don't want any of you guys (MIKE, JJJB, P, etc) asking Erica why she's thinking about giant dickies at 4AM. 2nd, concerning the ponchos, it's really quite simple. This summer, the fashionistas said that ponchos were going to be THE IN THING. Therefore, they are. (I can't wait until they predict that busty women in suspenders are going to be the next big thing.)
