My friend Nanc', out in the Great NorthWest, has a quotation on her emails that I just love. It's from Will Rogers and goes a little something like this:
"We're all just here for a spell.. so, get a few laughs; do the best you can."
There are so many great pearls of wisdom out there. Here are a few of my favorites.
"Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
-- Benjamin Franklin
"I believe we are on an irreversible trend toward more freedom and democracy - but that could change."
-- Dan Quayle
"You can't help someone get up a hill without getting closer to the top yourself."
-- H. Norman Schwarzkopf
"If all the girls who attended the Yale prom were laid end to end, I wouldn't be a bit surprised."
-- Dorothy Parker
"If the wind will not serve, take to the oars."
-- Latin Proverb
How about you? Care to share any beloved quotations with the rest of the class?
