Some of the best sites I have found are underrated.Just sites that I have happened upon,not heard about.I try to visit a few new ones every week.

I don't know about underrated, but my site is definitely way overrated.

But that's not a bad thing in my mind... :-)

Other then yours I would say mine, but I would be bias and maybe just pimping for hits....

People generally enjoy a bitchfest.
Let's face it, we're lucky to be able to choose those blogs that appeal to us personally.
We're lucky that there are enough out there to pick and choose.

I think Time For Your Meds by Tracy is one of the most interesting and well written blogs around. A single, gay mom who is a psych nurse/writer is bound to be interesting. Be sure to check out the archives.

I really don't care about "ratings" and I don't like the politic and the hurtful/hateful blogs. I don't even visit them. I like the ones that are real and personal, good for a laugh, cry, or someone who needs a virtual hug.

Most on my blogroll, good friends are underrated in my opinion. Some are very popular and others aren't but should be. These people have a lot of good things to say.

I'd have to agree with Karen. I don't believe there are any on my blogroll that shouldn't have higher hit ratings. They wouldn't be on the roll if I didn't enjoy reading them everyday. (And, of course, I'd like to see more visitors to my site too.)

There are so many great places to visit and learn from/laugh with on the web these days. How can you pick just a few! Such creative people. The internet if fickle. All web sites are either way overrated, or way underrated.

Popularity comes and goes in such extreme pulses that it's almost meaningless; particularly in the blog scene.

I read that entry you refer to and laughed my ass off. It was such a desperate plea for traffic, and everyone got all pissy. If you're a conservative, you picked on the liberal blogs, and vice versa. If you considered yourself a A-list blogger, you picked on anyone who gets more traffic than you. It was silly.

As for who I think is underrated on my massive blogroll....well, there are a lot, but I'll pick Urban Outback to highlight.

My absolute favorite person to read is Jenn over at Karmatown. She makes me laugh heartily or at least make my mouth do this weird thing where the corners up-turn just about every time I read her. I absolutely recommend.

Can i be an underrated blog? I'm not all that well written. Most of my material is bitter and angry. I have a tendency to go off on tangents and make no sense. . .Ok, now i see why i am underrated, or not rated at all.

I visit a lot of blogs and am always expanding my fave list over at Magnolia Glen. And that list doesn't hold a candle to the list of blogs I keep my eye on and keep adding to.

It's a wonderful world out there. I need to check all of these links out. I know I visit a bunch of you already....

oops...kinda late on this. don't think my site really counts as a blog, but it's definitely a photolog. (and an underrated one at that =^)

i remember a year or so ago there was much talk about an "A" list of blogs - Wil Wheaton, Little Yellow Different, Jish, Davezilla, etc.
feeling perhaps unappreciated, several people at once, including myself, came up with an idea for a "Z" list of underrated blogs in response. the idea was to give home to an ever-growing group of like-minded bloggers "unconcerned" about ratings or hits.
guess what happened?
elitism struck as Zee listers scratched, clawed and snubbed each other in order to become Z-list elite.
oh the irony.

I agree with Frac, popularity is fleeting. And just like in high school, the in crowd peak as soon as they are considered one of the cool ones whereas smaller blogs that take their time to unfold on a daily basis are the more interesting ones for me. It tells me a blogger is a multifaceted person and that if I stick with their blog long enough, there will be tonnes of payoffs each and every day that I can only appreciate as I get to know the writer over my morning coffee. And really, isn't that how you want to get to know a person anyway as they slowly win your heart over while engaging your mind jut a bit more tomorrow than they did today or yesterday? Friendships may start in a single moment as you bond over something meaningless or meaningful, but it takes time before a relationships can hit their stride.
