I'm such a dope. (Hey! Quit nodding your head so emphatically!) I spent all day yesterday moving sprinklers around our yard in attempt to turn yellow grass green again. Then I wake up this morning and it's pouring rain. And it's going to rain for the next couple of days as well. Good grief. I spend half my life on the damn computer and I couldn't take one minute to look up the weather??! Ugh.
Meanwhile we are getting quite the thunderstorm here. House rattling thunder! And it's weird because it's the morning. This just doesn't happen very often. Classic Philadelphia summer forecast: "Hazy, hot and humid with a chance of late afternoon thunderstorms, some heavy at times." That's our forecast every single day in July and August, so these morning boomers are a little odd.
At least I sprinkled the lawn yesterday. Wait, that doesn't sound right!
In other news, my wife got a good shot of me at the doctor's the other day so I thought I'd share it with you. I was getting ready for my yearly exam. Have a great day, everybody.

Posted by Buzz at July 12, 2004 06:39 AMThis is really weird. I think I should just be going to bed, not getting ready for work. Well, at least we never got the gutters cleaned out so the rain is splashing off the top of the house like a deranged water fountain!
Posted by: Empress at July 12, 2004 07:27 AMWe will be getting your weather here this afternoon, wait, make that now, I hear thunder. Great pic, by the way. I never pictured you in red shorts but the rest is exactly as I pictured you.
Posted by: debby at July 12, 2004 08:23 AMIn spite of the red shorts I blogrolled ya anyway!

Once you get your water bill for the month, you'll remember to check the weather.
The grass is supposed to be green? In July? We usually give up by mid-June.
Posted by: Beth at July 12, 2004 10:56 AMdamnit buzz, I don't need to see that kind of stuff first thing in the morning! ;-)
Posted by: Jeff A at July 12, 2004 11:15 AMI can see your underwear!!!!!
Posted by: Chelle at July 12, 2004 11:15 AMCan you send some of those rain clouds and thunderboomers this way? Serioulsy, with a heat index over 105 degrees, I could use some rain.
Oh and, Buzz, my dear, shaving the pits again? I thought Pat talked to you about that last year?
Posted by: Jenn at July 12, 2004 11:49 AMHey if it makes you feel any better, we checked the weather last night and it said 30% chance of rain, so we camped out with the boys in their new tent. 2 hours into the storm that was 30% we went back into the house (1:15 am) because the tent was taking on water. Now I have a tent sitting on a spot of my lawn that could use the rain and isn't going to get it and its going to have to stay there for a couple of days to dry.
