Funny but it seems I always wind up here with you

I just heard some good news on the News this morning. It seems that an extremely large percentage of people that have heart attacks have them between 04:00 AM and 08:00AM. Let's see, I've only got about an hour and a half left to worry and so far not a heart twinge to be felt. Excellent!

So, if you're reading this, and obviously you are, chances are fantastic that you are going to survive the whole day (Nef, you stay away from ladders!). And now, armed with the knowledge that you're going to make it at least one more day, try to make it a great day. I know it's Monday, and rainy days and Mondays always get you down, but try to look on the positive side today. Let other people worry about being all negative today. Trust me on this one, if you go with positive vibes all day and let the negative crap roll off of you, you will not only feel happier, but you will energize those around you.

So, smile today. Say hello to people walking past. Be upbeat. Do it for your heart. Do it for your coworkers. For god's sake, do it for the children!

Actually, just do it for yourself.

Happy Monday, everybody. Glad you're still with us!

Hi ya, BuzzSaw. No ladders for this boy (unlike Nef).

Besides, I'm not worried about no stinkin' heart attack since I already had my stroke (and since that didn't kill me, no heart attack will)....

Happy Monday, Buzz! You always make me smile.

Monday is a day like any other day
No need to worry just find your way
If you stumble for a moment you'll be okay
Just think positive and always say
I have health and friends to keep it all at bay.

Written by me today this Monday at 8:00am.

4:00am and 8:00am in what time zones? If it's pacific, you're not out of the woods yet. However, it's Happy Hour somewhere in Europe right now, so Ima get drunk.

Since retiring, Monday is probably my favorite day of the week. You'll get there too.

Happy Monday! I'm sitting at home drinking my coffee! The reason for the early morning heart attacks, usually it's people taking medicine for heart disease, and that's when the medicine is at it's lowest strength because it's time to take another pill, so the persons blood pressure goes high and brings on a heart attack! :)

Thanks for the positive post Buzzie. It was such an inspirational post that when I read it, it made me all tingly, starting in my chest area, and then radiating out to my extremeties. An once I really thought about what you had to say, I had to stop and catch my breath, and I felt a little lightheaded.

Beer Rocks(Author unknown)

A philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2" in diameter. He then asked his students if the jar was full. They all agreed that it was.

The professor then reached for a box of pebbles, and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. He asked the students again if the jar was full. Again, they agreed it was.

The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. The sand, of course, filled up all the remaining gaps. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous, "Yes."

The professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table and proceeded to pour their entire contents into the jar - effectively filling the empty space between the grains of sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The rocks are the important things - your family, your partner, your health, your children things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter - like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else. "The small stuff." "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued "there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal. Take care of the rocks first - the thing! s that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the beer represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of beers."
