BIF VII

Can it possibly be a month already? Wow! Well, it has so I guess it's time for another episode of 'Blog It Forward'! Woohoo!!

*waits patiently for cheers*

*yay*

Aww, c'mon folks. It's easy! And you'll totally make someone's day! You know how great it is to see your name mentioned on someone else's site, right? Well, they all feel the same way, too.

It's really simple. All you need to do is pick someone (or sometwo or somethree) off of your blogroll and post on your site just why you feel that they are linkworthy. Why the heck did you link them? Why are they given that place of prominence over there on your sidebar? Are they funny? Are they wise? Are they just too damn good-looking to pass by? Let us know about them.

Plus think how tickled they'll be to see their name on your site.

So whaddya say? After the week that a bunch of people out there had, I think a little linky-lovin would be a nice way to wrap up the week.

Oh, and be sure to track back to this post so that we can all follow who's getting linked.

Hi ya, BuzzSaw. I'd love to play BIF this month but unfortunately I'm swamped at work (which reminds me: what was it that George Washington said to Henry Knox as he boarded a boat to cross the Deleware River on their way to attack the Hessians at Trenton? Why, it was, "Don't swing your balls Henry, or you'll swamp the boat.")...just my little historical trivia contribution (and yes, Washington actually said that to Knox, who was a rather rotund fellow.

First time I've seen this idea expressed although it's always in my head anyway. I think it needs to be selective though or it loses its impact. Me being one of then I try to choose the people who don't so far have many visitors. I know what a buzz it is when a few more hits happen out of the blue!

I am pleased to announce that I am no longer a BIF virgin but I don't quite get trackbacks. Is it different from a permalink?. In my BIF post I linked to this post's permalink. I did not use the url off the trackback log because it didn't go anywhere when I tested it. So is trackbacking an automated feature? Did I did it right Buzz??

Buzz I know this is belated but I figured out how to trackback for free! If anyone asks you how to trackback to your site when they are on blogger or using some other limited blogger software, they can go to http://www.kalsey.com/tools/trackback/ and do it for free. They don't haffa even sign up for an account or nuttin' honey! Kalsey.com is a great source for all kindsa free blogging tools.
