Yesterday I was sitting in our office playing around on the 'puter, like ya do, and Pat was in the kitchen looking at some forms that we need to fill out. We started talking to each other between rooms and it went something like this:
Her: You started to fill this out?
Me (thinking that she said "thaw" this out - I had thawed out some veal for dinner): It's all thawed out already.
Her: What?
Me: I said it's already thawed out.
Her: It's thought out?
Me: Yes. I thawed it out earlier.
Her: What's thought out?
Me: Dinner.
Her: What the hell are you talking about? What has dinner got to do with these forms.
Me: What forms?
Life around here continues to make me chuckle.

Morning, Buzz!

Hi ya, Bud. Taking miscommunication to a new level, I see (heh-heh-heh).
Oh BTW, I just had to blogroll you (hope you don't mind me not asking you first).

Posted by: Tiff at February 26, 2004 06:54 AMMy missus honestly believes that best time to tell me things is when she's on the 2nd floor talking into a closet, and I'm in the basement standing in the opposite corner of the house between the running dryer and the washing machine when it's emptying after the rinse cycle.
The next best time is when I'm way out at the curb getting into my car as a diesel truck is shifting gears as it goes by...and there's also a plane overhead....and a teenager driving by listening to music really loud....with his car windows open.... with the one neighbor cutting his grass...and the other using either a chain saw or a skill saw.... Somehow, I get into trouble a lot for "Not listening". (I'm not sure how that happens ; )
hee hee. sounds like banter from three's company or something. those crazy kids and their mixups!
Posted by: tj at February 26, 2004 11:01 AMCan I come work with you? That's way more interesting than discussing why there is a stubby in the holdroom.
Posted by: Lee at February 26, 2004 01:58 PMsounds a lot like a conversation that Don and I could have. When you don't understand the individual words, just fill in with the closest you can get.
That's my motto
And then - laugh a lot!
