Loo with a view

Have you seen this yet? An outside toilet with one way mirrored glass. Hmmm, I think I might just pass on that one. How about you? Could you poo while you can see people?

A New Way to View London: From a Toilet

An art exhibit of a usable toilet enclosed in a cube of one-way glass is seen across the road from London's Tate Britain Museum. The person inside the outhouse can see passersby while remaining invisible to them. MSNBC

Uh no...not happening.

All the one way mirrors I've experienced if you get up close enough.... you can see through them.

not on your life, thankyouverymuch!

The performance anxiety would be too much!

Posted by: Busy Mom at February 25, 2004 10:52 AM

Unless this toilet is in D.C., I'd feel pretty sure no one would peek.

Posted by: kat at February 25, 2004 11:06 AM

Poo no....pee most definitely. This brings new meaning to "get in the box".

Posted by: Lee at February 25, 2004 11:21 AM

Hell no.

Posted by: Kathy Howe at February 25, 2004 11:50 AM

All that other stuff aside, how about having sex in there? Heh....

Posted by: Genuine at February 25, 2004 11:54 AM

Gotta love them Limeys for coming up with this idea.....I'd say it couldn't happen here, but Boston has a lot of crazy things within it's city limits (but who am I to say that this idea is crazy)?

Posted by: Colin at February 25, 2004 12:01 PM

Would this be "thinking" inside or outside the box?

Posted by: Busy Mom at February 25, 2004 12:11 PM

Holy Shit I can't stop laughing!

"You Poo! I can see you!"

LOL

Posted by: Kim at February 25, 2004 12:38 PM

No way!!

Posted by: Debbi at February 25, 2004 12:45 PM

I'm all for it, lets put one up here.

Posted by: Tom at February 25, 2004 01:32 PM

Absolutely! I love it. Guess that makes me an introverted exhibitionist sociophobe.

Posted by: Frac at February 25, 2004 03:46 PM

I am stunned that anyone would think of such a thing. It looks like something that would only exist in the computer game The Sims.

I am imagining trying to go to the bathroom and a passerby walks up and sees a zit, pops it and splat the goo comes hurling at you and you duck before you remember that there is a wall between you and the zit popper.

Do you suppose taxes paid for this? No wonder we started our own country!

Posted by: Sue at February 25, 2004 04:04 PM

Uh no--I think it would give me a shitty outlook on life.

Posted by: MileHighCyn at February 25, 2004 04:09 PM

it gives me the shivers just thinking about it!

Posted by: goldie at February 25, 2004 05:00 PM

that's effin' creepy. I'd be afraid to use it. Look at how close it is to the street. Could you imagine....Sitting on the pot and see a car coming straight at you? Oh man, that's eff'd up !

Posted by: todd at February 25, 2004 05:31 PM

I'm ASSuming that you can't use this in the dark. With my luck, I'd be sitting there in broad daylight and there'd be a total eclipse. Then it'd be dark enough outside for people to see inside.

Posted by: Willie's Buddy Jimmy at February 25, 2004 05:34 PM

In answer to Busy Mom, this would be "tinkling" inside the box?

Posted by: Willie's Buddy Jimmy at February 25, 2004 05:50 PM

Not a chance.

This is great!

Posted by: beerconsumer at February 25, 2004 11:36 PM

hahaha... nope, I wouldn't use it! But, it is a much prettier potty than ones i've seen in the past! ;)

Posted by: cee at February 26, 2004 09:09 AM

Can you imagine, your sitting (or standing there) ...doing your business and someone who doesnt know what it is walks up and leans on the wall.... lolol

Um no.

Posted by: Suz at February 26, 2004 09:18 AM

makes you want to use it tho, doesn't it, just to see if it's two way glass or not
