Hey! Happy 3rd of July!!! Woohoo!! Wait, the 3rd? That's not a holiday. Oh no? Then why are all of the knuckleheads that live around us shooting off barrages of firecrackers? Oh that's right. Now I remember why. They're morons. Riiiight.
You know, I never did really understand the appeal of firecrackers. Fireworks, sure. Ooohing and Aaahhhing and all that. I'm ok with that. But shooting off firecrackers all over the neighborhood until a couple of fingers get blown off (hehe) just never really got my juices flowing. What is that? Do you do that? If so, please explain the draw. I'm all (skeptical) ears.
Posted by Buzz at July 3, 2003 10:05 PMMy dad, sister and I set fire to my neighbors flowerbed with firecrackers once. By accident! And the funny thing is it wasn't even the 4th of July! whoops!

Posted by: valley at July 3, 2003 10:13 PMI was going to post about this, too... we were out getting ice cream and some idiot across the street lit some firecrackers... I'm sure at some point, limbs will be lost over there. Idiots! :)

Posted by: yvonne at July 3, 2003 10:54 PMI don't care about the fire crackers. It's the car alarms that drive me nuts.
Posted by: Erica at July 3, 2003 11:19 PMI hate firecrackers and car alarms.
I like Erica though.
Posted by: Kathy Howe at July 3, 2003 11:34 PMa few years ago, a friend with dual citizenship (us and canada) brought home some fireworks, which are legal in canada. it was new year's eve, and his bright idea was to set these mofo's off in his mostly empty, but rich, neighborhood. not only did the cops get called (his parents took care of it) but one landed on top of my car causing a wicked dent that was there forever. my feeling: LEAVE THE LIGHTING OF LARGE EXPLODING THINGS TO THE PROFESSIONALS!!!!!!!!!
